About

Established in 2021

I am Ian Quinn, a Board Certified Family Medicine and Sports Medicine Physician, practicing in northeast Georgia where I am trying to make the world healthier through activity and healthy living.

I was born in Atlanta and raised in Buford. I graduated from Buford High School in 2008 aspiring for a career in Sports Medicine. I received my bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Harding University in Searcy Arkansas in the spring of 2012 after which I took a year to prepare for medical school working, taking classes and the MCAT. I started medical school in the summer of 2013 at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, SC and graduated in Spring of 2017. Just before graduation, I met the love of my life and at the end of my first year in residency, we were married. We lived in Winston Salem, NC where I completed my Family Medicine residency at Wake Forest. I finished residency in 2021 during the heights of the COVID pandemic and stayed for an additional year to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine. Throughout this one year fellowship my wife and I, with my father in law and other family members worked on making a school bus into a “Skoolie” and after graduation we took an adventurous road trip to Key West. After this we bought our first home and settled into Gainesville, GA where I began a Sports Medicine practice at Longstreet Clinic.

Since settling, I’ve become a father to three beautiful children and have been able to live out my dream of being a husband, father and physician in the community and with the people I grew up with. My Christian faith is the foundation of all that I do especially in the care of patients in my practice.
